All architects in Tours

The Sirene register lists 110 active architecture practices in Tours: 77 companies and 33 architects working as sole practitioners. All of them are listed on this page, with their address and, where published, their phone number.

As everywhere in France, an individual building for themselves must use an architect once the floor area exceeds 150 m², counting the total after works for an extension. A company, including an SCI, always needs one for a building permit. The local rules for Tours (height, position, appearance) are set out in the local plan (PLU).

Fees are free and set in the contract. For a full mission, from design to site supervision, pricing guides usually quote 8–12% of the cost of the works excluding VAT for a new house and 10–15% for a renovation or extension. A mission limited to the building permit application is usually a fixed fee of about €1,500–4,000 excluding VAT.

In most departments, the CAUE (council for architecture, planning and the environment) sees individuals for free, by appointment, to help them prepare their project. The map of CAUEs is on fncaue.com.
