Overview

BQ+A is the practice of Bernard Quirot, a graduate of the Paris-Belleville school and a former fellow of the Villa Medici, run from Pesmes in Haute-Saône with partners Chloé Blache and Julie Vielle. It grew out of Quirot & Vichard, set up in Besançon in 1996, and works mostly on public buildings in Burgundy and Franche-Comté: schools, a health centre, offices in historic town houses. Its Vézelay health centre won the Équerre d'argent in 2015, and Bernard Quirot received the Académie d'Architecture's medal of honour in 2024.
